Early

Early diagnosis is essential to prevent vision loss from eye care conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration. With annual comprehensive eye exams, our doctors can uncover issues far in advance, ensuring healthy eyes and clear vision for years to come.

HD Imaging

Our advanced imaging technology enables us to not only monitor changes in your vision, but also gain a full understanding of your overall health. Thanks to the optomap, we can thoroughly evaluate your retina without uncomfortable dilation: this helps us detect eye issues and general health issues like stroke and diabetes well before major symptoms show. If we have any concerns, we may turn to other non-invasive equipment, like OCT scans or virtual field headsets, for a deeper view of your retina.

In-Depth

With our modern imaging equipment, we can easily discover stealthy eye issues, such as glaucoma and diabetic neuropathy, which other practices may miss. In addition to optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans, we implement computerized color vision testing, as discolored vision can be a symptom of many conditions. For specialty issues, we use AdaptDx to monitor how quickly your eyes adjust to darkness, Diopsys® to test neurological responses, and pachymetry to measure cornea thickness.

Dry Eye

Dry eye disease occurs when the eye doesn’t produce enough tears, or when the quality of the tears is too poor and they evaporate too quickly to lubricate the eye. Dry eye can cause lasting discomfort and irritation, watery eyes, redness, stinging, and blurry vision. To uncover the precise causes of dry eye, we perform a variety of diagnostic tests using meibography, TearLab®, and InflammaDry® equipment. If dry eye is found, we’ll soothe your symptoms fast with a customized MiBo Thermoflo or Blephex treatment.

Accurate

When it comes to technology, Dalton Family Eyecare adopts only the best of the best. That’s why we use Diopsys® neurological diagnostic technology to get a comprehensive view of your retinal health and detect even the earliest signs of glaucoma and diabetic eye disease.

Advanced

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) can naturally result from aging: this process wears down the part of the retina essential for clear central vision, the macula. As a leading cause of blindness in people over 50, advanced AMD detection is vital to protect your eyesight. In addition to our optomap and Diopsys® retinal imaging equipment, we offer AdaptDx to identify one of AMD’s earliest symptoms, poor adjustment to changing light conditions, and manage the problem before it impacts your vision.

Myopia (nearsightedness) is a common vision error resulting from a misshapen eye. It makes faraway objects appear blurry. Eyewear can bring clear vision, but not treat the underlying problem of irregular eye shape. To correct vision and help slow myopia’s progression, we offer Eyezen™ near vision glasses, atropine eye drops, multifocal contact lenses, and custom-fit orthokeratology (ortho-k) lenses worn overnight to painlessly reshape the cornea. These solutions are especially effective for children!
